Driving in to the Columbia River Gorge from Portland on the Historic Gorge Highway, the first major waterfall you reach is Latourell Falls. Actually, that falls that can see hundreds of tourists each day is Lower Latourell Falls. This is Upper Latourell Falls, and the hike to reach it means that you’re much more likely to find that you have the site to yourself sometimes! (Especially if you hike up in the rain.)
