This image in my “abstract” series is truly just that - without knowing it was a photograph of dewdrops on blades of grass, (with a vivid autumn leaf in the near background) you might not guess what it is! I take these photos periodically throughout the year, depending on the type of grass, the quality of light, etc. Far from being just a “point and shoot and see what I get” exercise, I try to create enjoyable compositions on the camera’s screen, then re-evaluate the images in the computer, cropping and adjusting until I am satisfied. Typically several hours of work go into each image that I feel would be appealing as a print. They may be a niche product, but the process is fun and uniquely rewarding.
