It really is kind of nice the way that most people leave the beach when twilight hits! I arrived at this location on Labor Day, and the crowds were as large as you might imagine for one of our most popular beaches on a summer holiday weekend! I was pleasantly surprised at how many were already walking back across the wide beach and into town, even before sunset. By the time it was dark enough to capture a few stars, and the crescent moon wonderfully framed by a serendipitous cloud, the beach was nearly deserted.
